Expertise Matrix User Guide
Searching for People by Their Skills
While managing skills and targets may be your primary motivation for using Expertise Matrix, it is often beneficial to be able to find people by their skill proficiencies. Expertise Matrix provides this through the powerful skill search functionality.
Clicking themenu item will show the window above which can be used to construct a complex search query.
Use this option to select whether you want to search for people who have all the skill proficiencies at the specified level or above (AND), or for people that have one or more of the skill proficiencies (or above) selected (OR).
For example, if you wanted to find people who are both proficient at Fire Marshalling and First Aid, you would select AND.
If, however, you wanted people who are proficient at either Fire Marshalling or First Aid, you would select OR instead.
Use this dropdown to select a skill you want to search for and click thebutton to insert it into your search list.
Then you can use the slider to select the proficiency level that a person must have at a minimum (inclusive) to be included in the results. So if you want someone with a skill level of 3 or more, then position the slider at 3.
Initiate the People Search
Once you have all the skills you want to search for in your list (up to 10), click thebutton to see the results.
Here you can see the result of searching for people with proficiency in Fire Marshalling and First Aid, note that the skills selected are displayed with that person's proficiency level.
